Fathers, Fight for Your Children
I wanted to talk to you today about virtues associated with fatherhood, but there has been something so heinous happening in England that I need to speak about that instead.
If any of you have been following the news, you may have heard the story of Indi Gregory. Indi was an 8 month old girl who has been suffering from a rare mitochondrial disorder where her cells could not produce energy. She had been on life support until this past weekend, when the courts in the UK determined that keeping her alive was no longer worth what it cost to do so. Indi sadly passed away on Monday.
For some context here, parents in the UK have next to no rights. The UK has socialized medicine and the actions of the NHS are completely controlled by the courts. What the courts did to Indi and her family was disgusting, not just because they ignored the wishes of the parents, they also disregarded valid treatments that could have saved her.
Indi's parents had been fighting the courts for months, and word of this battle reached Italy's Prime Minister, Giorgia Moloni. Moloni said that she would do everything in her power to save Indi, and gave her Italian citizenship along with treatment at a Vatican hospital free of charge. The British courts ignored these offers and decided to end Indi's life all the same.
Fathers, the wicked forces in this world are coming for your children, and these forces are now doing this through our own governments. Indi's father fought as hard as he could for her life, and while he was unsuccessful in prolonging her life in this world, he aided in having her saved for the next by having her baptized before she died. Admittedly not a religious man himself, Indi's father said that he had seen what Hell looks like, and if Hell exists, Heaven must as well, and he wanted his daughter to be there.
Fortunately for us here in America, we have not reached this dystopian nightmare where the value of our children's lives is solely determined by the state. We are however heading in that direction. The signs are prevalent, and if you have not seen them you have not been watching closely enough.
Just this year, during June's Pride parades, activists could be heard chanting, "We're coming for your children." Even Joe Biden was caught on camera saying, "There is no such thing as another person's child." It is clear that many of those who would call themselves the leaders of our nation believe that our children should belong to the state, and that the state should have total control over how they are raised and on what to do with them.
Fathers, we need to fight for our rights as parents (Mothers, you are needed in this fight as well). Family life is the bedrock of civilization, and if the rights of families can be so easily trampled underfoot, then civilization as we know it will soon cease to exist.
Many parents in this country have already answered this call, but it is time we all stood up and spoke against this injustice. I have Faith that God is on our side, but if we do not fight alongside Him, we may see dark times ahead to teach us all a lesson.
Pray for the repose of the soul of little Indi Gregory, that no one should know the pain of losing a child in such a way. Pray for her family. Pray for your own family.
Fight for your families; fight for your children, for if you don't, you may lose them forever.
